Merck Serono is the pharmaceutical division of the Merck group with sales of €6 billion annually, accounting for 55% of the group’s sales.
Context
After an invitation to tender, ORTEMS was selected rather than SAP APO. This choice was supported by the business managers who believed the ORTEMS software offered more functionality, was easier to use and more ergonomic for a rollout cost half of that for SAP APO.
Solution
Production Scheduler and Synchronized Resource Planner were chosen to schedule the production and packaging connected with SAP and the existing LIMS solution.

7 sites were implemented in 2 years in France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Italy and Mexico with a core model
